Individual Health Plans for Adults and
Children
Maybe you do not have a group health plan,
or you are between employers and desire coverage, or you are wondering if obtaining individual health coverage
for your children is less expensive than the dependent coverage
your employer offers—if you fit any of these categories,
individual health coverage may be a viable option for you!
Short Term Health
Plans
If you are between jobs and need temporary
coverage, or COBRA is too expensive, or you want to fill
the “63 day gap in coverage” to avoid having a pre-existing
condition exclusion until you are eligible for group health insurance,
Short Term Insurance may be one solution for you.
Short Term Insurance is a low cost
plan that provides you with catastrophic coverage during
the time when you do not have health coverage. You may choose
from a range of deductibles. Plans are age rated and don't
cover pre-existing conditions.
A short term solution to ensure continuous
coverage. If you are interested, contact us today.
Individual Health
Plans
Roger Hicks and Associates Group Insurance, Inc. offers individual health plans through respected and reliable insurers. The plans offer a range of deductible options, including low co-pays, and prescription coverage at very affordable rates. Some individual plans offer life insurance as well.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma offers a Health Check HSA which is a high deductible health care plan combined with a Health Savings Account—without belonging to an employer group. Individual plans for dental insurance are also available.
Who is a good candidate for individual health coverage? If you or your dependents are in good health and desire insurance coverage that is not dependant on your employer, you may want to check into individual health insurance. Due to different underwriting guidelines for individual health insurance, the insurer may decline to insure you or issue a rider (exclusions to your policy). Also, individual health insurance is not subject to the pre-existing conditions rule—meaning the insurer does not have to accept or cover any pre-existing conditions under individual health insurance.
If you believe you may qualify for individual health insurance and are interested in applying, contact us today.
